That Sphinx on the U/G Intro Pack looks awesome. Too bad we can’t read the R/W text though…

  • S1lent says:

Looks like a new angel and 3 new vampires. These are all new images to me so thanks. The reveals so far have me excited. Don’t sleep on Smother. Mono-Black control is literally a card (Damnation) or two (Decree of Pain) or three (Rain of Daggers) away from being viable and I’m excited to see if Wizard’s makes it happen. I’ve already encountered builds that can take Jund into very deep waters with the help of Wretched Banquet, Tendrils of Corruption, Sorin Markov (HARD to get rid of if they up him to 6 counters), etc. And of course I’d like to see blue get a good counterspell and maybe 2 good merfolk to go with the improvements Zendikar provided. Manlands are going to be as big or bigger than fetches so preorder those boxes (Cannot wait to see red/green or black/red)!

    • Jake says:

i count four. four vampires. four WONDERFUL vampires. Mwahaha. (sesame street joke). in all seriousness though, Swamp control is non-existent in this format. the only control decks i’v seen in this format that have black splash it for removal and cruel ultimatum. wizards is really pushing vamps though, and thats what swamp casters should go for.

  • Urza says:

I am in favor of mono-color return. Blue, black, green… White weenie and RDW are allowed to continue so why not Aggro green or Mono-Blue/Black Control?

    PS- Bring Rancor Back:)

  • CopySix says:

Hey guys – Thanks for the link love !
Epic art is certainly coming our way in Worldwake.
Luv’n those two Angel arts – altough I’m not sure if I can get my noggin around that weird-a$$ Elephantosaurus art.

  • Arsen says:

Is it me or can we not read “Worldwake Intro Pack Descriptions”, the text for Rapid Fire seems blur :(

  • Boshea says:

May just be a little wishful thinking, but does anyone else get an Ascendant Evincar vibe off the vamp rare? Also looks like Anowan from the Journey to the eye comic is getting a card.

    Interesting stuff all around

  • DevDaybreak says:

I call fake on the intro packs. Not to sound foolish, but I doubt they’ll reprint Nocturnus so soon; it wasn’t released a year ago, even, and is a $20 card. Reprinting it would cause many players some distress.

As for Jace in the Flyover deck, no. He’s a mythic, and you can pre-order him for $25, USD. The intro packs themselves will likely cost $10 less than Jace.

The quality of the imaging itself is also sub-par. Everything looks shopped, and rather shoddily I might add.

tl;dr — I believe MTG-Realm has been trolled, atleast on the descriptions. It wouldn’t be the first time we were led askew; “Golden Lotus.”

    • hamminitup says:

the description featuring nocturnus and jace are cards that could go well with it, not the cards in it. the white m10 says baneslayer would be good, but doesnt include it (too bad). so these could be the real thing.

      • DevDaybreak says:

You’re right, I read that wrong. xD In that case, though, I wish they’d get a clearer image of U/R. I’m pretty stoked about this set. I placed T4 at the Zendikar pre-release, and really want to get higher in this one.

  • TheFerret says:

Makes me want it SO much more… to think the booster draft ill be hosting shall fund for my tux, MWAHAHA!!!

  • Reinhart says:

    Just to be clear…
The second paragraphs of those intro pack descriptions are of cards that could work well in the deck.. not cards in the deck.
And yes the red one is not readable at the moment.

  • David says:

It looks like we’re getting an “evolved” Liliana as well as the “evolved” Jace. I wonder if one of the ancient Planeswalkers that sealed the Eldrazi with Sorin will be revealed.

    • Jake says:

i don’t think we’ll be seeing her until “lights” if and when she comes. Jace is the only walker in WWK and we’ve already gotten a black walker. I’m personally looking forward to the white walker, hopefully re-done elspeth, or MAYBE:

      Ob-nixilis as a white walker??

i mean, if you think about it, ob-nixilis did lose his spark, and he does have a WWK symbol on his head, which means if we do see him it’ll be in rise as a white walker. Makes sense to me because wouldn’t you be pissed and turn evil if you lost your spark? maybe ob-nixilis gets it back in WWK and becomes a good guy.

Or elspeth. either one. NO MORE AJANI PLEASE WIZARDS!!! You failed at his storyline, and he isn’t that great. we promise to forget him if you leave him alone and do a better walker.

  • Thanx for the post – I’ve written one about an illustration of a new card “Leatherback Baloth” here : http://bit.ly/5ddss7

  • Willyfield says:

It would make more sense to me if Ob-Nixilis was a green walker. The art makes it look lime he is walking through a forest. Sure it kinda looks like a swamp but the amount of green in the setting leans me more towards forest.

  • Leaf says:

    oooohhhh, pretty…..

  • jessesl66 says:

This clears up part of Mark Rosewater’s mysterious paragraph with all the words of any help replaced with Goblin. I forget the link exactly but it was an article on their main website.

  • jessesl66 says:

I’m also very excited about the multi-kicker mechanic, lots of potential there.

  • lebear says:

Огромное вам пасибо! а еще посты на эту тему будут в будущем? Очень жду!

  • thank you for the information – I made a deck vampire and commented on the extension Worldwake here http://bit.ly/4KG5Kc
