Grand Prix Atlantic City Photo Diary

Reddit

At the End of the Day, Saturday, 10:08 PM

After getting in a game of Commander, Adam got to help out with the official coverage for DailyMTG. Take some time to check out his coverage of a feature match between Shahar Shenhar and Brian Demars, an interview with the one and only Brian Kibler about building Green decks, and a feature with Josh-Utter Leyton (Wrapter) about deck selection.

Fortunately, he got a break towards the end of Round 7. So what does the hall look like towards the end of the day, when everyone is battling to make the Day 2 cut?

Somehow, all of this excitement was packed into just one day. There's still a few hours left on the day, and another full day tomorrow! Keep following Adam's Atlantic City adventure both here and on Twitter, and check for his coverage features on DailyMTG.com!

Commander Chaos with Andrew Magrini and More, Saturday, 2:20

At any Grand Prix, if you're not playing in the main event there's a good chance that you're drafting, trading, or Commandering. When you run into Andrew Magrini, odds are you're sitting down for a good-natured Commander game packed with shenanigans.

After an hour of Commander-packed downtime, it's time to check out some of the other possibilities that Grand Prix Atlantic City has to offer.

Five Questions with Alex Ullman, Saturday, 12:20

The best thing about Grand Prix is getting to spend time with people from other regions and see how they play Magic. Adam's Pauper Cube passion is well documented, but this weekend he gets to meet Alex Ullman (@nerdtothecore) and talk cube with another Pauper enthusiast:

What comes next? It could be Pauper Cube or Commander, taking a look at the dealer tables or grabbing lunch with friends who are in town. There's no end to the exciting possibilities.

Morning Rituals, Saturday, 11:15 AM

The early hours of a Grand Prix are noisy. While a breakfast and deck lists are the usual suspects, you'll always find friends meeting up and excitement being shared. Artists, judges, and staff have all eyes on the 1,646 players ready to fight through 10 rounds of action.

The day has just begun, but with 9 more rounds to go there will be plenty more to see and share.

Gearing up for a Grand Prix, Friday, 8:06 PM

It is the eve of Grand Prix Atlantic City, and Adam Styorski is rolling into town. Tomorrow morning, hundreds of Magic players will descend on the Atlantic City Convention Center, and the battle for Standard supremacy will begin. When the match clock starts tomorrow, Adam will be busy sharing stories and photos of his Grand Prix experience as it happens. Tonight, though, he's taking in some of the scenery, finding some awesome eats, and hanging out with some of the people who drove in to Atlantic City Tonight:

Take this opportunity to let us know what you'd like to see tomorrow; everything from bubble matches and sick top decks to awesome trades and Commander chaos is fair game! Follow his live updates throughout the weekend on Twitter @GatheringMagic or check back here, as we'll be compiling everything throughout the weekend.
