Several years ago, one of the best decks in Legacy was a Bant Natural Order deck. You combined the controlling elements of Brainstorm and Force of Will with the midrange elements of Knight of the Reliquary and Wasteland, but added the ability to just curve Noble Hierarch into Natural Order to kill your opponent. The deck was a fixture of the format for quite some time, but has been pushed out in recent years. However, it’s possible something similar could take up the mantle:

This means that, while Swords to Plowshares are good, they aren’t really doing what you want anymore. You’d rather have access to Leovold, Emissary of Trest and Cabal Therapy to swing Blue matchups into your favor than Swords to Plowshares for random Tarmogoyfs. The addition of Black also gives you access to Baleful Strix and Abrupt Decay. In addition, Shardless Agent gives you more consistent access to all of your interactive Black spells. At the very worst, Shardless Agent helps to ensure that you hit a fourth mana on the next turn to help resolve Natural Order.

As far as Natural Order goes, it’s been quite a while since I’ve seen a Natural Order for anything besides Craterhoof Behemoth. Since this deck doesn’t flood the board in the same way that Elves does, you’re much more reliant on Progenitus being able to attack for a turn or two. A huge part of this plan being reasonable now is that Terminus isn’t as ubiquitous in the format and is harder to set up for decks that are still playing it.

If you’re looking for a midrange deck with plenty of interactive elements and a powerful haymaker, this deck seems reasonably well-positioned. Sultai colors give you plenty of flexibility, there’s lots of discard to provide interaction, and your discard is great at forcing through Natural Order to get your opponents dead.
