The first Grand Prix of 2015 is in the books! The capital of the Philippines played host to 1,401 players on the first weekend of the New Year. Battling in Khans of Tarkir Standard the Top 8 included many familiar faces including Hall of Famer Makihiro Mihara, Grand Prix grinders extraordinaire Martin J?za and Christian Calcano, and Pro Tour Top 8 competitor Lee Shi Tian.

The finals came down to veteran Tzu-Ching Kuo and his Abzan Midrange battling against Joseph Sclauzero in his first Grand Prix Top 8 and Mardu Midrange. On this day the speed of the dragon bested those that endure and Joseph Sclavzero rang in 2015 with a Grand Prix Trophy.
