Matej Zatlkaj emerges victorious at Grand Prix Stockholm!

Reddit

Matej Zatlkaj, affectionately known as Big Z, has won Grand Prix Stockholm! The long time pro and current member of the European Coverage squad took a creature heavy Jeskai list to victory. Zatlkaj's deck blends Shaun McLaren's and Ondrej Strasky's versions of Jeskai from the Top 8 of Pro Tour Khans of Tarkir.

Zatlkaj had this to say about his victory:

Einar Agust Baldvinsson followed in the steps of Brian Kibler and took a Temur Aggro deck to a perfect mark on Day 1 and fode the ferocious wave all the way to the finals. Even though Temur did not have a great showing at Pro Tour Khans of Tarkir, Savage Knuckleblade and friends are establishing a foothold in the metagame.

Christian Seibold pledged allegiance to Sidisi and her Sultai Brood with his Sidisi Whip deck. Leaning on Whip of Erebos to generate value from dead Hornet Queens, Seibold was able to buzz his way to an unblemished record on the first day of competition and a spot in the Top 8. Sagu Mauler is a great over the top threat in this deck, presenting a hard to solve beater.

Oskar Skoeld stays the course and piloted Abzan Midrange to the top tables at the end of the first nine rounds. Leaning on Planeswalkers, including Liliana Vess in the main and three additional Planeswalkers in the sideboard, this version of Abzan is can play the "Super Friends" game quite well.
