How synergetic is this card! This thing sings! It sings of combos forgotten and combos not yet realized.
All of the combos!
So many combos. Split Screen is a card that works with a huge number of cards in the history of this game!
Here are just a few that percolate to my mind, brewing great combos for you to unleash on your opponents!
Take Erratic Explosion as one quick and powerful example. You will see the top cards of your library. So you will know which one has the biggest bang for your buck. The Explosion becomes reliable and powerful in this deck as you choose which top card to reveal.
A card like the Brutal Deceiver and the others in that cycle feel like that could be hits or misses, but what if you knew they would hit? You can turn a useful draft card into a powerhouse with Split Screen!
Here’s another few examples that just immediately come to my mind:
You should almost always have a land sitting on top of one of your four libraries, so you can tap these to draw it, thus getting you a lot of cards for no additional investment of resources other than tapping these 2-drops. If you want to draw a creature card instead of a land, this will also work with Bloodline Shaman as well! You can also use Petra Sphinx to draw any card!
Split Screen will help you win Clashes and break Explores! It will break the game with something like Arbiter of the Ideal! Check out the unlocked value of Djinn of Wishes! Choose the best result with Druidic Satchel! Foster is clever here!
Explore!
Clash!
Kinship!
Parley!
Now as a fellow Johnny myself, I know how irritating spoiler season can be. You see a great card with some awesome synergies, and then right there in the spoiler article the writer has already built four or five decks using the ideas, and talked about all of the potential combos out there. It’s so irritating! I feel your pain. So instead, I have given you some ideas here, but intentionally left some cool combos unsaid for you to find on your on!
