This deck is interesting because it does something uniquely powerful with an incredible card that hasn’t gotten much attention in recent weeks: Splendid Reclamation. Splendid Reclamation is a card with an enormous amount of potential in a format with cards like Magmatic Insight, Tormenting Voice, and all the other delirium enablers. Unfortunately, a deck designed around resolving a four-drop sorcery is not well-positioned when Spell Queller is a thing, but Andrew’s deck does a reasonable job of fighting back with Spatial Contortion.

The core of Andrew’s deck is using the early turns to stock the graveyard with lands while digging towards a Splendid Reclamation. Pieces of the Puzzle is one of the most powerful cards in the deck, since it both fills your graveyard and finds Splendid Reclamation and Part the Waterveil. Jace, Vryn's Prodigy is especially interesting in this deck because you get to pick and choose what ends up in your graveyard, and have an enormous amount of control over when Jace, Vryn's Prodigy flips depending on how you sequence various graveyard enablers. He also allows you to double up on Pieces of the Puzzle in the early game to find the spells you need to resolve a Splendid Reclamation.

The first Splendid Reclamation will get net you anywhere from two to six lands, and lets you start doing unfair things. The gameplan is to utilize Pieces of the Puzzle to find Part the Waterveil, or to mill Part the Waterveil and flash it back with Jace, Vryn's Prodigy. The density of dig spells in this deck means that it’s relatively easy to chain together Time Walks until you kill your opponent, as long as you have sufficient mana. Splendid Reclamation is certainly up to the task of making sure that’s not an issue.

The most interesting land in this deck by far is Mirrorpool. This is a card that buys you a ton of versatility; since you can use it to copy Part the Waterveil to gain an additional turn to beat down with various Sylvan Advocates and man-lands. If you’re able to Mirrorpool an awakened Part the Waterveil, the game is all but over. Even if you can’t though, the ability to double up on Sylvan Advocate on a critical turn and activate Lumbering Falls may just be enough to get the job done. Sometimes you might just have to copy a Spatial Contortion.

All in all, this is a wacky deck that attacks the format from a completely different angle than many players are expecting. While this may not have the consistency or resiliency to become a top tier strategy, it’s certainly powerful enough to take some games at your next FNM, and with some tinkering it could be a solid contender in the Standard metagame.
